Continual double-helicoidal mixer
Černý, Jan ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This work focuses on the process of mixing particulate materials and the design of the screw mixer for this activity. The theoretical part describes the mixing and properties of particulate matter. Subsequently, individual devices serving for different types of mixing are analyzed. The practical part contains calculations of the main dimensions and the required power consumption. The choice of suitable drive, bearings and gear is followed. Finally, the analysis of the blade shaft load and the strength analysis of the mixer blade using Autodesk Inventor are performed. Part of this work is enclosed drawing documentation of equipment assembly and selected partial components.
Design Optimization of Bucket Conveyors
Jonák, Martin ; Svěrák, Tomáš (referee) ; Zegzulka, Jiří (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with a study of methods sufficient to describe the behavior of bulk materials (homogeneous and non-homogeneous) during their transport by bucket elevators in the application focused on the optimization of the bucket shape and also on the optimization of operating parameters of whole elevator. More specifically, this thesis is based on the studying and creating analytical and numerical computational models which are used for description of flows and deformations especially of particulate materials. Firstly, the thesis is focused on the process of discharging the bucket – the relationship among the shape of the surface of a particulate material and geometry, position and movement of the bucket. The beginning and way of discharge of the bucket will be determined. Secondly, the thesis includes the overall computational model of a bucket elevator which is based on discrete element method and presented in the case study. The goal is to determine the limits of some classical physical and mathematical descriptions.

Bucket elevator
Vítů, Šimon ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the calculation and design of bucket elevators. The work includes a description of the construction of elevators, the procedure of elevator calculations. Furthermore, the work presents the calculation of a vertical bucket elevator for gravel transport. The work includes drawing documentation, including a drawing of the elevator assembly, a drawing of the head subassembly, drawings of individual parts of the head.
Parametric computational model of non-food bulk materials silo
Červený, Vojtěch ; Kvarda, Daniel (referee) ; Maňas, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a parametric computational model of a bulk material silo. The work includes acquaintance with the issue of bulk materials, the theory of calculation of pressure conditions in silo, introduction of the proposed structure, creation of a parametric geometric model in the CAD system and the calculation model in the FEM system. The thesis includes a brief introduction to the software used and the principle of working with the created models.
